Mimmo Jodice, famous Italian photographer, and his beautiful wife Angela with Andrea Valiani, head curator of the Madre Museum.

On Tuesday April 26th, Dyanna was back in Naples, Italy for a special evening organized by Laura Trisorio at The Madre Museum of contemporary art. (http://www.madrenapoli.it/en/about-us/the-museum/) Laura and her mother Lucia run the artecinema event in Naples and Dyanna was invited last October to screen Hunk of Lightning.

At The Madre, Dyanna gave a talk on Dorothea Lange and showed clips of the film. She shared the presentation with Mimmo Jodice, a pre-eminent Neapolitan photographer who will have a major retrospective opening at The Madre in late June organized by head curator Andrea Valiani. Also present was Gennaro Matacena who will be staging an exhibit of Lange photos at Castello di Postignano on June 11th.(http://www.castellodipostignano.it)

Dyanna reports: “their observations about Lange, her eye and influence with bits of reflections and data from me worked really well. Full house.” Lange is at home in Naples!

Gennaro Matacena, architect, will host an exhibit of Lange photos at Castello di Postignano this summer.
